   4 Here are some quick notes, that may or may not evolve into something more
   5 substantial over time. Development is preferably done via git merges.

   7 * git trees don't contain pre-built config/Makefiles/etc. You'll need to
   8   run the following (in order):

  11       automake --add-missing --copy
  12       autoconf

  14 * Regression tests can be run as follows (try --help for more details):

  18 * Documentation is in SGML source in doc/ so don't edit *.8, *.5 directly.

  20 Prior to a new release:

  22       Update configure.ac with new version
  23       prune git tree/commit with new version in configure.ac
  24       prep tree for tarball
  25       push to kerneltools.org (along with GPG signed ASC signature)
