   5 The simplest possible test for TAO.  This is a very simple
   6 test for TAO, it can be argued that it is in fact too simple to do
   7 anything useful, i.e. chances are that this test will always pass.

   9   The goals of writing this test are:

  11 - Provide a very simple, very fast 'smoke test' for ORB developers.
  12   If Hello does not pass then something is extremely broken and you
  13   should go back to the drawing board.
  14 - Provide a code base to write more complex tests
  15 - Rule out basic infrastructure problems: if this test does not work
  16   for a user then the infrastructure (network, DNS, host
  17   configuration) are more likely to be at fault than the ORB.
  18 - External users are often asked to send us a 'simple test' for their
  19   use case, we can now point them to this test to explain what do we
  20   mean by "simple".
  21 - The -GA option has been added to the IDL compiler command line.
  22   This option generates type code and Any insertion/extraction
  23   operator implementations in a separate file with the extension *A.cpp.
  24   This file is not included in the compilation however, to make sure
  25   there is no dependency on it if the client and server do not use
  26   type codes or Anys.
