  14 The `avmedia` component is implementation of manager service defined in
  15 `offapi/com/sun/star/media/`. Radek has added implementation based on
  16 gstreamer so that we can add audio and video files into impress
  17 presentation on Linux with gstreamer.

  19 The implementation is pretty straightforward, sometimes it has
  20 problems when gstreamer installation is incomplete.

  22 In the beginning the media files were not embedded, Thorsten added
  23 support for that later.
