   3 I say the cannonballs tumble down,
   4 Squashed the ground,
   5 Squashing the ground.
   6 Which is it?
   7 The scientist knows,
   8 but he thinks he knows only what the particles are,
   9 which may be what the particles know, if they know themselves.
  10 What says the cannonball itself?

  12 I say that nothing is now,
  13 Watch for it!--nothing is coming as we speak!
  14 but this is nonsense.
  15 The sense of the paradox appeals to me,
  16 as a poem might, but the reference!
  17 --How can we refer to nothing?
  18 that is not shadowed but is rather lost.

  20 I say that "it" is the case.
  21 What is the case?
  22 Well, it's up to us!
  23 A lawyer might know, as might a philosopher.
  24 Does "it" just exist, or is it more?
  25 Is it is'ing now, or is it is'ing because it
  26 is always?
