22 <b>1. Introduction
</b>

2000, James William Breen assigned ownership of the copyright
26 of the dictionary files assembled, coordinated and edited by him to the
27 The Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, then at
28 at Monash University (hereafter
"the Group"), on the understanding that
30 will foster the development of the dictionary files, and will utilize all
31 monies received for use of the files for the further
32 development of the files, and for research into computer lexicography and
33 electronic dictionaries.
36 This document outlines the licence arrangement put in place by The
37 Group for usage of the files. It replaces all previous copyright and
38 licence statements applying to the files.
44 This licence statement and copyright notice applies to the
45 following dictionary files, the associated documentation files,
46 and any data files which are derived from them.

175 If a WWW server is providing a dictionary function or an on-screen

178 or page. If, however, material from the files is mixed with information from
179 other sources, it is sufficient to provide a general acknowledgement of the

</b>

280 Any individual or organization making use of the files must agree:

313 Every effort has been made in the compilation of these files to ensure
314 that the copyright of other compilers of dictionaries and lexicographic
316 has not been infringed. The Group asserts its intention to rectify immediately
317 any breach of copyright brought to its attention.
320 Any individual or organization in possession of copies of the files, upon becoming
321 aware that a possible copyright infringement may be present in the files,
322 must undertake to contact the Group immediately with details of the
323 possible infringement.
326 <b>6. Prior Permission
</b>
329 All permissions for use of the files granted by James William Breen
330 prior to March
2000 will be honoured and maintained, however the placing
331 of the KANJD212 and EDICTH files under the GNU GPL has been withdrawn as
335 <b>7. Special Conditions for the KANJIDIC, KANJD212 and KANJIDIC2 Files

338 In addition to licensing arrangements described above, the following
339 additional conditions apply to the KANJIDIC, KANJD212 and KANJIDIC2 files.
