   4   Please  read  the file  `docs/UPGRADE.UNIX'.  It contains  important\r
   5   information regarding the installation  of FreeType on Unix systems,\r
   6   especially GNU based operating systems like GNU/Linux.\r

   8   FreeType 2's  library is called `libfreetype',  FreeType 1's library\r
   9   is called `libttf'.  They are *not* compatible!\r
