   9 RedHat 7 cannot compile gcc-2.95.2 without patching because it uses a snapshot
  10 of glibc-2.2. A simple solution is using gcc-2.95.2.1 instead, which you can
  11 find at
  12 ftp://packages.linuxfromscratch.org/pub/new-in-cvs/gcc-2.95.2.1.tar.bz2. The
  13 next version of LFS will use gcc-2.95.2.1, so this hint will be quickly
  14 obsolete.
