  16 Mesa 7.12 is a new development release.

  62 <li>Removed all DRI drivers that did not support DRI2.  Specifically,
  63   i810, mach64, mga, r128, savage, sis, tdfx, and unichrome were
  64   removed.</li>
  65 <li>Removed support for BeOS.</li>
  66 <li>Removed the obsolete (and unmaintained) Windows "gldirect" and
  67   "ICD" drivers.</li>
  68 <li>Removed the linux-fbdev software driver.</li>
  69 <li>Removed all remnants of paletted texture support.  As required by
  70   desktop OpenGL, <tt>GL_COLOR_INDEX</tt> data can still be uploaded
  71   to a color (e.g., RGBA) texture.  However, the data cannot be stored
  72   internally as color-index.</li>
