   1 The UCB/LBNL video tool, vic, is a real-time, multimedia application
   2 for video conferencing over the Internet.

   4 Vic was designed with a flexible and extensible architecture to support
   5 heterogeneous environments and configurations.  For example, in high
   6 bandwidth settings, multi-megabit full-motion JPEG streams can be
   7 sourced using hardware assisted compression, while in low bandwidth
   8 environments like the Internet, aggressive low bit-rate coding can
   9 be carried out in software.
