   1 This package provides user control over the layout of the three basic
   2 list environments: enumerate, itemize, and description.  It supersedes
   3 both enumerate and mdwlist (providing well- structured replacements
   4 for all their funtionality), and in addition provides functions to
   5 compute the layout of labels, and to `clone' the standard
   6 environments, to create new environments with counters of their own.
