   2 Welcome to MINIX 3.1.2. The system is now running and many commands work
   3 normally.  To use MINIX 3.1.2 in a serious way, you need to install it
   4 to your hard disk, which you can do by typing 'setup' while logged in as
   5 root.  Then just follow the on-screen directions.

   7 After setup is complete, type 'shutdown' and when the boot monitor
   8 starts, boot your new system by following the instructions at the end of
   9 setup.  Keep the CD-ROM in the drive, login as root and type 'packman'
  10 to begin installing the many software packages available.  After you
  11 have installed the packages, type 'xdm' to start X Windows if you have
  12 installed it.

  14 It is strongly recommended that you print and read the 'setup.pdf' file
  15 on the CD-ROM before staring the installation. The file is also
  16 available at www.minix3.org/doc under the 'Installation' heading.
