   3 <p>Moodle can display "recent activity" on the course home page.</p>

   5 <p>This shows the everything that has happened in the course since
   6 the last time the viewer logged in to the course, including
   7 new posts, new users etc.</p>

   9 <p>It is highly recommended you leave this feature enabled in
  10 your courses, as it helps give a sense of activity in the course.
  11 Knowing what everyone else is doing also helps to promote a
  12 collaborative atmosphere in the class.</p>

  14 <p>You might want to disable this feature for extremely large or
  15 heavily used courses, as it may slow down the display of
  16 the course page.</p>
