1 This package contains manual page sources for the groff family of text
2 formatters. As described in the DESCR file for text-groff-catman, the
3 online manual pages for groff contain information about the following
4 groff-related utilities:
6 grog - grog reads files and guesses which of the groff(1) options
7 -e, -man, -me, -mm, -ms, -p, -s, and -t are required for
8 printing files, and prints the groff command including those
9 options on the standard output;
11 troff - describes the GNU version of troff, which is part of the
12 groff document formatting system;
14 tbl - tbl compiles descriptions of tables embedded within troff
15 input files into commands that are understood by troff;
17 pic - pic compiles descriptions of pictures embedded within
18 troff or TeX input files into commands that are understood by
21 eqn - compiles descriptions of equations embedded within troff
22 input files into commands that are understood by troff
24 soelim - eliminate .so directives from nroff input
26 refer - preprocess bibliographic references for groff
