  39 Normally, the system will reboot itself at power-up or after crashes.
  40 An automatic consistency check of the file systems will be performed
  41 as described in

  43 and unless this fails, the system will resume multi-user operations.

  45 The prep architecture does not allow the direct booting of a kernel
  46 from the hard drive.
  47 Instead it requires a complete boot image to be loaded.
  48 This boot image contains a

  50 kernel, which will then provide access to the devices on the machine.
  51 The image can be placed on any device that the firmware considers
  52 a bootable device.
  53 Usually this is either a SCSI disk, tape, CD-ROM, or floppy drive.

  55 The prep architecture and bootloader does not support any option
  56 parsing at the boot prompt.

  58 The prep port requires a special boot partition on the primary boot
  59 device in order to load the kernel.
  60 This partition consists of a PC-style i386 partition label, a small
  61 bootloader, and a kernel image.
  62 The prep firmware looks for a partition of type 0x41 (65) and
  63 expects the bootloader, immediately followed by the kernel, to be
  64 there.
