SIPE Project
This project develops a third-party plugin for the Pidgin multi-protocol instant messenger. It implements the extended version of SIP/SIMPLE used by various products:
- Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS 2007 and newer)
- Microsoft Live Communications Server (LCS 2003/2005)
- Reuters Messaging
- Microsoft Lync Server 2010
With this plugin you should be able to replace your Microsoft Office Communicator or Lync Client 2010 (office 365 online). client with Pidgin.
The source code and Windows installation packages are available on the download page. Various OS distributions offer installation packages under the name pidgin-sipe.
The Pidgin project does not support third-party plugins! If you have problems with this plugin then please check out the support forums. Bugs should be reported here.
