15 [I] Finite Element Software for Multiphysical Problems
17 [T] Elmer is a computational tool for multi-physics problems that has been
18 [T] developed in collaboration with Finnish universities, research
19 [T] laboratories and industry. It includes physical models of fluid
20 [T] dynamics, structural mechanics, electromagnetics, and heat
21 [T] transfer. These are described by partial differential equations which
22 [T] are solved by the Finite Element Method (FEM). It comprises of several
23 [T] different parts. The geometry, boundary conditions and physical models
24 [T] are defined in ElmerFront. The resulting problem definition is solved
25 [T] by ElmerSolver. Results are the visualized by ElmerPost. An ElmerGrid
26 [T] utility may be used for simple mesh manipulation.
