  27 The 'bars' resource controls the rendering direction of the graph
  28 bars.  'vertical' (the default) specifies vertically oriented bars and
  29 'horizontal' specifies horizontal bars.  This option is usually used
  30 along with the <a href=r-stack.html>stack</a> resource to make a
  31 vertical graph with sideways bars, although <strong>bars</strong> will
  32 do what you expect when not used along with <a
  33 href=r-stack.html>stack</a>.<p>
