  27 lendemand is used along with <a href=r-widdemand.html>widdemand</a>
  28 and the per-module <a href=r-scalelenadj.html>scalelenadj</a> and <a
  29 href=r-scalewidadj.html>scalewidadj</a> to determine the actual
  30 requested size of the MGM window when a geometry is not explicitly
  31 set. See the <a href=r-geometry.html>geometry</a> page for a
  32 description of how these resources interact to determine overall
  33 window geometry and sizing/placement of individual modules.<p>

  35 lendemand specifically maps the global scale length adjustment, a
  36 relative number, to an actual number of pixels; the global
  37 length adjustment is multiplied by the lendemand setting and divided
  38 by 100.  The result is then used as the desired window height for a an
  39 MGM window with vertical bars or the widow width for an MGM window
  40 with horizontal bars.<p>
