  13 I am a professional UNIX and GNU/Linux engineer with a software
  14 development background. Some of the many flavors of UNIX I have run
  15 across include Solaris, HP/UX, SCO, Tru64, and AIX. I also have met
  16 many flavors of GNU/Linux including Red Hat, SuSE, OpenSuSE, and
  17 Debian. Currently I am working in an AIX shop which is planning to
  18 migrate to GNU/Linux. In my free time I'm investigating GuixSD.

  20 Some of the languages I have used include C, C++, Perl, Python,
  21 emacs-lisp, and shell. I also have some familiarity with Common Lisp,
  22 JAVA, javascript, lua, PL/I, FORTRAN, and COBOL. I have actually used
  23 6809 assembly and VAX MACRO at points earlier. Current tasks fine me
  24 utilizing shell, Perl, C, emacs-lisp, clojure, and guile.

  26 Some of the projects I have been involved in include geographical distributed
  27 deployments and upgrades, automation, backup configurations and
  28 disaster recovery.
