8 The potato genome has been sequenced by the <a
9 href="http://potatogenome.net">Potato Genome Sequence
10 Consortium</a> (PGSC), an international group of scientists from 14
11 countries. The sequence was published in <a
12 href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21743474">Nature</a> in
13 July 2011. Many potato lines are tetraploid; however, the sequenced
14 accession was a homozygous diploid line (double haploid) <i>Solanum
